The second in a new series of events hosted by the Hilton’s Wine Sommelier Julia Zhu and is targeted at people that enjoy the fruit of the vine but are not too sure about what is a good wine and tend to classify wines purely by colour.
The ABC is more then Aroma, Body and Colour and Julia will help us understand the nuances.

The 2007 Chardonnay is a medium-bodied wine with tropical fruit and zesty lemon aromas. Crisp, citrus flavours and fresh green apple form a light, soft palate and a clean, balanced finish.
The 2007 Merlot is a medium-bodied wine showing layered aromas of ripe black cherry, raspberry and mocha. Black cherry is mirrored on the palate sprinkled with hints of pepper and spice. Balanced acidity and supple tannins lead to a smooth, juicy finish.
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is medium-bodied with an aromatic nose of ripe black cherry, blackberry and cedar, with brambly, floral overtones. Black currant, ripe plum, and black cherry flavors round out the palate, while plush tannins lead to a soft, juicy finish.
The Delicato Family Vineyard is not only one of the top four Californian vineyards and the recipient of many awards it is also operates a sustainable approach to farming. This evening promises to be very successful and since space is limited early registration is recommended. It is also highly recommended that you do not self-drive to this event.

Saturday 25 July 08:00 - Countryside Walk from Fragrant Village to Little West Lake.
Escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Beijing and venture into the unbelievable Beijing countryside. This walk traces a riverside path, from a tiny 12 family village (about 60 people), with the aid of stepping stones, past the relics of tourist free "forgotten" parts of the Great Wall, which are now partly submerged. Suddenly the view changes from the wild quietness, to a magnificent lake – Little West Lake and a feeling of rediscovering ‘civilisation’.
