You are invited to join us on Tuesday 16 June 2009 at The Hilton Beijing's One East from 7:00pm for a evening about wine, from Vine to Thine as it were. This exciting new series of events is hosted by the Hilton's Wine Sommelier Ms. Julia Zhu and is targeted at people that enjoy the fruit of the vine but are not too sure about what is a good wine and tend to classify wines purely by colour. The ABC is more than Alcohol, Bottle and Cork and Julia will help us understand the nuances.
The evening will commence with Julia's favourite welcoming Summer Kiss (a blend of Moscato d' asti, tropical fruit punch, and vodka) followed by an introduction to the world of wines accompanied by 3 Chilean wines (a white, a rose and a red).
White: Vistamar, Sauvignon Blanc. A very representative fresh, clean, crispy style of wine, dry whilst offering aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus and tropical fruits. Rose: Vistamar, Cabernet Merlot Rose is a simple, easy drinking wine that is best enjoyed in a hot summer afternoon, served chilled, and reminiscent of blackberry and raspberry candy.
Red: Vistamar, Merlot is a soft while plump wine with a delicate hint of spices, loads of velvety soft fruits in such a great style.
The wines will be accompanied by a selection of Hilton signature canapés such as Melon wrapped in Parma Ham; Classic spring rolls; brown butter watermelon with lemon tuna; roasted vegetables; Mozzarella cheese with cherry tomato; black olive and herb sauce.
Advance registration is essential since space is limited.
