Join us on Tuesday 27 May from 7:30pm for this month’s Entrepreneurs, Business & Finance Social Networking Evening. Last month’s event once again exceeded expectations. We received very positive feedback both about the useful contacts that were made and the choice of venue. This coming event will therefore also be at the same venue. Networking is an art, Be not afraid to start
These evenings bring together Entrepreneurs, Businesspeople and people who work in Finance, Banking, Consulting, Real Estate, and Investment.
The JW Marriott has again kindly consented to host this event in their signature chic Loong Bar. The majesty of the fabled Loong (dragon) is recreated with a contemporary twist, creating a perfect setting for our Business and Finance events. Good B 2 B (Business to Business) often depends on good P 2 P (Person to Person). These evenings provide an opportunity to meet that person who might be the fulcrum to your next or new endeavour.
The FC Club overcomes the limitations of a typical Chamber of Commerce evening by providing a multi-cultural hub of connectivity to meet people with a common desire. These evenings provide a relaxing atmosphere in which to enter into a dialogue and to entertain different perspectives.
Power Networking is the name To help you find your fame.
In short these nights provide a unique platform for you to potentially make the connection that will take you and your business to new heights.

Please feel free to tell your friends and colleagues about our events and about our efforts to help the people affected by the Sichuan earthquake! “Dujiangyan: In harmony with nature” is the tragically misnamed title of a recently published book about one of the nicest places to visit until 14:28 on Monday 12 May 2008. Just two weeks after the public book launch of “Dujiangyan: in harmony with nature” a cruel twist of fate has left the entire area north of Chengdu devastated. Dujiangyan tourist board officials who were eagerly anticipating the passing of the Olympic torch next month, and enjoying the fruits of hard labour in bringing the transportation and tourism infrastructure up to international standards, have been diverted to the task of caring for fragmented families, and constructing makeshift homes for thousands.
The FC Club is supporting the publisher and the authors Heather Mowbray and Kit Gillet in attempting to sell all 6,000 copies of the book for charity.
The books will be sold for 200 RMB per book. 2 RMB will be kept by the publisher to cover costs, the remaining 198RMB will be used to purchase books, toys and sports stuff for kids who survived in the towns and villages of Dujiangyan. The authors have close contacts with the area having spent nearly a month there last year researching the book. They therefore assure all donors that they will get these goods to the people who will benefit from them most. Wounds from this earthquake will undoubtedly take generations to heal. This calamity shows that no matter how harmoniously we attempt to live with our surroundings, nature will always have the last word. We know it seems early to think about toys etc, but we are thinking ahead to the summer holiday period, when global attention has left the area and depression is likely to set in. Distraction, in any form, is likely to be helpful. The books will be on sale from the coming event Tuesday 27 May Business and Finance Social Networking Evening at the J.W. Marriott’s Loong Bar and at future events.
